When I entered this home for our session I was DELIGHTED to see this gorgeous kitchen sink. I encouraged wrapping up our baby milestone session with a quick sink bath. Why? Literally no child ever has been less than thrilled to take a sink bath. NOTHING gives me more of a thrill than a perfect sunset session, and this is no exception. Garrard landing park is the most gorgeous little gem of a photo shoot location. It has fields, streams and a precious little rustic, covered bridge. I could shoot here every day and be utterly content.

Lifestyle newborn sessions currently have my heart. I adore capturing tender moments between mama and baby in their own home – where everyone is most fully themselves. I aim for lightly posed images, and a healthy mix of serenity and playfulness in your final gallery. The whole family gets in front of the lens (even pets). This beautiful family drove over an hour for one of my special “petite fall minis”. Their darling baby girl was feeling sick, but perked up when she was offered a treat/prop (always a big win for everyone). I like to schedule these just as the leaves are turning to take advantage of the luscious fall color, but before the cold hits hard. This chilly, early morning session was to commemorate this sweet girl’s first birthday! Cool-weather sessions are a great excuse to get lots of fantastic snuggled up shots that focus on connection, warmth and love.
